HR Legacy Commercial is an asset and property management company committed to delivering high-quality, resident-centered services while promoting operational excellence, compliance, and strong communities.

Position Summary

Connects residents of public and affordable housing communities with services, referrals, programs, case-management partners, and community resources while tracking outcomes and supporting resident stability and engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess resident service needs within the scope of the position, provide information and referrals, and connect residents with community, benefits, education, employment, health, financial, youth, senior, and other appropriate resources.

  • Coordinate with case managers, service providers, community organizations, schools, workforce partners, and public agencies to support resident access to programs and follow-up on referrals.

  • Plan and support resident programs, workshops, meetings, outreach activities, resource fairs, and community events in collaboration with the Community Engagement Manager and property staff.

  • Maintain confidential service records, referral logs, participation data, outcome tracking, resident contact documentation, and required program reports while following privacy and information-sharing requirements.

  • Respond professionally to resident questions and concerns, identify urgent or high-risk situations, follow established escalation procedures, and support resident engagement and community-building initiatives.

Additional Duties: Performs other duties, special projects, coverage assignments, and responsibilities as needed or assigned to support property, resident, client, and organizational needs.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, community development, public administration, education, or a related field preferred.

  • Three or more years of resident services, community outreach, social services, case coordination, housing, workforce development, or nonprofit program experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of Chicago community resources, public and affordable housing environments, referral practices, resident confidentiality, and culturally responsive customer service preferred.

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, handle sensitive information, document services accurately, and work effectively with residents, providers, and property-management staff.

  • Strong computer literacy in Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, databases/case-tracking systems, email, and virtual meeting tools; excellent customer service, empathy, communication, organization, follow-through, and conflict-resolution skills.
