Job description

New York, United States | Posted on 16/07/2026

The employer is a funded, earlyโ€‘stage venture developing an AIโ€‘enabled healthcare payments application designed to improve how healthcare organizations manage payment, claims, and revenueโ€‘cycle workflows.

The company improves complex financial workflows across the healthcare ecosystem, including providerโ€‘payer payment processes, claims workflows, revenue cycle operations, payment reconciliation, denials, and administrative automation.

Their platform uses AI, workflow automation, data integrations, and secure infrastructure to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, accelerate payment processes, and create better visibility across healthcare financial operations.

They are looking for an extraordinaire handsโ€‘on CTO to lead technology, product architecture, and engineering execution for a new AI healthcare payments company.

This is not an advisory CTO role but one of a handsโ€‘on technical leader who can build the product, architect the platform, recruit the early engineering team, and move quickly from MVP to scalable commercial product.

Education

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

Experience
  • Experience building products from zero to one.
  • Ideally Former founder or early technical leadership experience (Not mandatory).
  • Structured technical training in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Led endโ€‘toโ€‘end 0โ†’1 product development and launched an MVP into production where you personally contributed to core technical deliverables and system architecture.

  • Delivered products in regulated, transactionโ€‘heavy domains (preferably healthcare payments/RCM/fintech) or equivalent complex workflow environmentsโ€”owning integrations, secure/scalable system design, and AIโ€‘enabled workflow automation for payment/claims/reconciliation workflows.
  • 0โ†’1 product development & handsโ€‘on engineering: proven ability to personally build an MVP and ship production software (founding/earlyโ€‘engineer level).
  • Software architecture & AI/automation systems design: designing secure, scalable architectures that embed AI/ML and workflow automation for transactionโ€‘heavy pipelines.
  • Domain & leadership combo: healthcare payments / revenueโ€‘cycle (RCM) domain understanding plus earlyโ€‘stage engineering leadership (recruiting and leading the first engineers).
