Position Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Automation Developer to join our Digital Business & Technology (DB&T) team. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence through the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions. You will work at the intersection of Automation and Artificial Intelligence, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to streamline financial and operational workflows, enhance decision-making capabilities, and deliver tangible business value.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Automation Development & Maintenance

  • Develop and deploy UiPath automation solutions for financial and operational processes.
  • Maintain and optimize existing automation workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in production environments.
  • Document automation processes and maintain technical specifications.

AI/ML Integration & Development

  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs) into RPA workflows.
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Implement document intelligence and natural language processing (NLP) capabilities.
  • Develop AI-assisted data extraction, classification, and validation processes.
  • Utilize Google Cloud's Vertex AI, Document AI, and other AI services for process optimization.
  • Fine-tune and prompt engineer LLMs/SLMs for business-specific use cases.

Process Automation Projects

  • Extract and transform data from enterprise systems (PeopleSoft, Perceptive, Hexagon).
  • Integrate data across multiple platforms (Hyperion Planning, FCCS, Smartsheet, Google Drive).
  • Build automated reporting and data distribution workflows.
  • Develop solutions for financial reconciliation, cost reclassification, and compliance reporting.
  • Implement AI-powered document processing and intelligent data extraction.
  • Create intelligent workflows that combine RPA with AI for enhanced decision-making.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work with Finance, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders to identify automation and AI opportunities.
  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on automated and AI-enhanced processes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and AI proof-of-concepts.

Quality & Documentation

  • Ensure automation solutions meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation.
  • Perform testing and validation of automation workflows and AI models.
  • Monitor process performance and generate reports on time savings and ROI.
  • Document AI model performance, accuracy metrics, and optimization efforts.
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in RPA development, software development, or business process automation.
  • 6+ months of hands-on experience applying AI/ML technologies or GCP services to real-world problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver production-level work, evidenced by past project success or internship accomplishments.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: XXX

RPA & Automation Skills

  • Proficiency in UiPath (or similar RPA platform); UiPath certification is preferred.
  • Strong experience with data extraction, ETL processes, and database concepts (SQL).
  • Ability to integrate disparate systems via APIs.

AI/ML & Cloud Skills

  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Vertex AI, Document AI).
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs) (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Llama).
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with document intelligence, OCR, and NLP concepts.

Domain Knowledge

  • Exposure to enterprise ERP/financial planning systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Hyperion, FCCS).
  • Understanding of business process automation, data governance, and AI ethics.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A high degree of curiosity about emerging AI/ML technologies.
Additional Information

Pay Range: $76000 to $95000 Per Year.
