This position under administrative direction, develops, implements and administers state-wide policies and procedures for the enforcement of investigations under the Acts within the area of responsibility. Organizes, plans, and controls the activities involved in the implementation of overt/covert investigations of practitioners under the Acts within the area of responsibility. Serves as liaison between the Department and other State, Federal, and local agencies; i.e., Department of State Police, Office of the Attorney General, local law officials, professional societies and regulatory groups, and other agencies as mandated by the specialty of the investigation involved. Reviews files and reports. Serves as working supervisor for investigative staff. Travels to attend and participate in committee/board meetings to report on investigative related matters/issues. Enters data on personal computer and/or laptop computer concerning investigative activities. Participates in the development of the section's budget. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
