Job description

Workday Extend Developer

We are looking for a Workday Extend Developer with a strong background in Workday Integrations and custom application development. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in Workday Extend, along with proficiency in Workday integrations and HR system implementations. This is a remote role, but candidates must be located within the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement custom applications and extensions using Workday Extend.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with Workday functional teams to ensure seamless integration of custom solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate custom solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom Workday applications and integrations.
  • Stay updated with Workday’s latest features to continuously enhance and optimize solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed Workday applications and extensions.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Workday Extend development.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday architecture and integration capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Integrations (2-3 years).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, and XSLT for Workday custom development.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday Extend certification or other relevant Workday certifications.
  • Experience with Workday Studio.
  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and systems.
  • Experience with Workday Prism (Nice to have).
Education & Industry Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Industry experience in Workday Extend HR implementations is required. Candidates without direct Workday Extend experience in HR implementations will not be considered.
