Job description

We areseekingan experienced and strategicLead, People Solutions(Workday Technical Lead) to serve as the technical owner and architect of Sony Pictures Entertainment's Workday platform and People Technology ecosystem.

This roleis responsible fordefining and executing the technical strategy, architecture, governance, security model, integration framework, and operational support model across Workday and related HR technologies. TheLeadwill act as the organization's primary subject matter expert and technical authority for Workday Security, Integrations, Data Architecture, and Platform Optimization.

The ideal candidate combines deep Workday technicalexpertisewith strongleadership, stakeholder management, and enterprise architecture experience. This individual will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Talent, Finance, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, and external service providers to ensure the People Technology landscaperemainsscalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with businessobjectives.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Operational Excellence

  • Own the overall technical health, stability, performance, and scalability of the Workday platformincludinggovernance of Workday security& integrationsarchitecture

  • Establish andmaintainoperational support processes, SLAs, monitoring standards, and incident management procedures.

  • Leadroot cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical production issues and integration failures.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.

  • Manage technical debt and platform optimization opportunities across the People Technology landscape.

  • Ensure compliance with internal audit, SOX, GDPR, data privacy, and enterprise security standards; conduct periodic security audits&risk assessments.

  • Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.

  • Provide technical oversight and governance for AMS teams, including developers, integration resources, and support personnel

Enterprise People TechnologyArchitecture

  • Define andmaintainthe People Technology architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to align People Technology strategies with broader enterprise technology standards.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Workday Architecture

  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes and data architecture.

  • Experience supporting enterprisepeopleecosystems and third-party vendor integrations.

  • Knowledge of security governance, audit controls, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and HR digital transformation initiatives.

  • Experience with other HR/People Technologies likelearning platforms (Cornerstone etc.), recruiting platforms (Phenom, Greenhouse etc.), survey platforms (Qualtrics,Perceptyxetc.),Skills platforms, Case ManagementPlatforms (ServiceNow etc.), Time & Attendance platforms (UKG, Infor)

  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.

  • Experience integrating Workday with identity management, payroll, benefits, finance, and analytics platforms.

  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps& ITSMpractices.

  • Experience working in global or multi-region HR environments.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $142,400 to $178,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
