**IMPORTANT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:****Job Description****SUMMARY:**Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Workday Systems, the Technical Manager, Workday Systems is responsible for leading and supporting the technical architecture, integrations, data management, and system configuration across Workday Student, Human Capital Management (HCM), and Financial Management modules. This role partners closely with functional stakeholders, IT leadership, and vendors to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing Workday solutions that align with organizational goals.**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Serve as the technical lead for Workday Student, HCM, and Finance platforms.* Define and maintain Workday technical architecture, standards, and best practices.* Manage and provide technical guidance to Workday Technical Developers.* Oversee design, development, and support Workday integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, and third-party middleware.* Manage inbound and outbound data flows with external systems (e.g. Student systems, Payroll, Benefit providers, Banking, Reporting tools, LMS).* Leverage Workday Extend to design, build, and govern custom applications that integrate seamlessly with Workday Student, HCM, and Financial Management* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all Workday modules.* Support reporting, calculated fields, and advanced analytics as needed.* Coordinate work with implementation partners and third-party vendors.* Manage technical project deliverables, timelines, and documentation.* Partner with functional leads to translate business requirements into technical solutions.* Support Workday releases, testing, and deployment activities (bi-annual updates).* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide escalation support.* Coordinate planning, execution, and communication for Enterprise Systems initiatives.* Performs other duties as assigned.* Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time**QUALIFICATIONS:****REQUIRED:*** Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.* Minimum of five years of experience supporting Workday in a technical capacity.* Demonstrated expertise in: + Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs) + Calculated fields and reporting + Dashboards* Minimum of two years of experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical lead.* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Strong leadership skills, and an understanding of higher education and/or complex enterprise environments.**PREFERRED:*** Experience in Higher Education* Experience with Workday Student* Workday certifications (Integration, HCM, Financials, or Student).* Hands on experience with Workday Extend* Experience with Identity Management SystemsThis is a hybrid position requiring candidate to be onsite 3 days per week.**PROCEDURE FOR CANDIDACY** Applicants should include a resume and cover letter describing how their background, skills and education match the needs of the University.
