Responsibilities
Workday Configuration & Administration
• Own end-to-end configuration and maintenance of Workday modules including HCM Core, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent & Performance, and Reporting.
• Manage business process frameworks, security roles, condition rules, calculated fields, and integrations.
• Lead Workday semi-annual release reviews: assess feature updates, conduct impact analysis, coordinate testing, and deploy changes.
• Maintain system documentation including configuration specs, change logs, and SOPs.
System Optimization & Projects
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Workday design solutions.
• Lead or support HRIS project implementations, including module expansions, integrations with third-party vendors (ATS, benefits carriers, payroll), and data migrations.
• Evaluate and propose enhancements that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, or improve the employee and manager experience.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
• Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and composite reports; support ad hoc data requests from HR and Finance.
• Monitor data quality; develop and enforce data governance standards and audit routines.
• Support workforce analytics initiatives by providing accurate, timely HR data.
Stakeholder Partnership & Support
• Serve as the primary Workday support escalation point for HR team members, managers, and employees.
• Conduct training sessions and create user guidance materials for HR staff and people managers.
• Partner closely with IT/IS on security, SSO, and technical integrations.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure alignment between Workday HCM and downstream systems.
Requirements
• 5+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 3 years in a hands-on Workday configuration role.
• Deep expertise in Workday HCM; hands-on configuration experience in 3 or more modules (HCM Core, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, or Talent & Performance).
• Proficiency with Workday reporting tools
• Solid understanding of Workday security frameworks: security groups, domain policies, and business process security.
• Experience managing Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, or Core Connectors).
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to data accuracy and system integrity.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
