Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Payroll Director to join their team. Join our team as Director of Payroll and take charge of all aspects of our multi-location payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and champion strategic payroll policies, processes, and system enhancements for increased accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing across various employee categories (hourly, exempt, driver) while adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Analyze complex transactions, identify issues, and collaborate to address potential risks and implement improvements.
  • Partner effectively with internal departments (HR, finance, legal) and external vendors to maintain high-quality payroll services and optimize operations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure a skilled and engaged team.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with employees and business partners on payroll matters.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement by analyzing existing processes (timekeeping, benefits) and leveraging data effectively.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll data, adhering to all data privacy regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in multi-state payroll management for organizations with 20,000+ employees and customized payroll solutions.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Payroll.
  • Proven experience with Workday and/or PeopleSoft 9.1 or higher, including payroll system conversion.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent credential.
