Job description

The Opportunity:

Definian is hiring Associate Consultants to join our growing delivery team. This is an entry-level role designed for problem solvers who want to work at the intersection of data, technology, and consulting.

In this role, you'll work directly with clients and project teams to understand business requirements, design and test technical solutions, and deliver meaningful business outcomes. You'll learn core skills in SQL, Python, data transformation, and enterprise applications (Oracle, Workday, etc.), while building consulting capabilities that set the foundation for long-term growth.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Deliver technology solutions across industries including Manufacturing & Distribution, Public Sector, Healthcare, and more
  • Work with clients to understand their current data landscape and align to their future-state strategy.
  • Design, code, and test custom data solutions using SQL, Python, and Definian's proprietary software, Applaud, using AI accelerators.
  • Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Contribute to requirement gathering sessions and document solutions with precision.
  • Support implementation of enterprise systems (Oracle, Workday, etc.) and learn their data models.
  • Build consulting skills including client interaction, problem-solving, and ownership of deliverables.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • BS/BA degree
  • Basic experience with a programing or scripting language
  • Strong SQL skills (required).
  • Experience with Python (preferred).
  • Familiarity with additional scripting or data tools (PowerShell, VBA, Excel, etc.) is a plus.
  • 1+ years working directly with structured data (through coursework, internships, or experience).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to systematically analyze, parse, and solve complex technical and operational challenges.

**Compensation:** Annual base salary: $72,000 - $94,000, with eligibility for performance-based annual bonus (total compensation range: $74,000 - $109,000).
