Chaplain (Part-Time) - Early Career / Clinical Growth Opportunity

Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services - Lawrence, MA

Part-Time

Are you looking to launch or grow your career in Spiritual Care?

At Mary Immaculate, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of spiritual care providers. If you are a compassionate, mission-driven individual who has completed your foundational studies and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, clinical environment, we want to meet you!

While we are rooted in the Catholic tradition, we warmly welcome emerging chaplains from all faith backgrounds who are dedicated to inclusive, mission-centered support. This is an ideal role for someone looking to build their professional identity within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Why Start Your Career Here?

  • Mentorship & Growth: Work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary clinical team and engage in ongoing formation and mission-based activities.
  • Diverse Clinical Experience: Gain experience in long-term care, providing support during life's most significant moments, leading rituals, and facilitating sacramental ministry.
  • Collaborative Culture: Thrive in an environment defined by our core values: Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a part-time schedule that offers consistent hours with the flexibility to adapt to team needs and special events.

What You Will Do:

As you grow in this role, you will be the heart of our spiritual ministry, helping residents, families, and staff navigate their emotional and spiritual well-being.

  • Provide Pastoral Support: Conduct spiritual assessments and provide crisis counseling and ongoing emotional intervention.
  • Lead Worship: Lead ecumenical services, prepare homilies, and facilitate liturgical life within the community.
  • Grief & Bereavement: Accompany families through loss, providing condolence calls and participating in funeral services.
  • Advocacy: Act as a bridge between residents and their local clergy, ensuring every individual's spiritual needs are respected and met.
