Position Overview:

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, reporting to the Liferay Product Manager as part of the Product & Innovation (P&I) team within the IT department, works closely with the Youth Villages' Business Intelligence, Research, Clinical Services, Strategic Partnerships, and other departments to support the technical development and implementation of the organization's proprietary clinical platform, GuideTree. The Software QA Analyst works alongside the development team and Product Manager to build and maintain an automated test suite and manual test plan to support GuideTree product development. This position also works on special projects, including any new custom development, as requested by the Manager, Director, or CIO, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst:

  • Designs and develops automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, or similar testing tools

  • Develops and executes manual testing plans for software development

  • Participates in reviews of designs and technical specifications

  • Documents testing plans and results, communicating feedback and issues to development team

  • Assists product and development teams with triaging user-identified issues and bugs

  • Supports product and development team in identifying and documenting edge cases and system limitations

  • Runs database queries, supports release cycle, develops Java, JavaScript, or Python, and/or configures Liferay as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required)

    • Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)

  • 1+ years of experience working in Information Technology (required)

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience developing, supporting, or testing software in an agile team (preferred)

  • 1+ years of experience with Java and SQL (preferred)

  • 1+ years of experience in Liferay DXP, version 7.4 (preferred)

  • Understanding of or experience with release planning or DevOps (preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
