Job Title: Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
Location: Remote

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to support software engineering activities associated. The SQA Engineer will ensure that software products, processes, documentation, testing, configuration management, and changes comply with applicable software quality assurance requirements and approved software lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Develop, implement, review, and maintain Software Quality Assurance plans, procedures, and records.
โ€ข Perform independent reviews of software lifecycle activities and deliverables.
โ€ข Review software requirements, designs, code/configuration, test plans, test results, and release documentation for quality and compliance.
โ€ข Support verification and validation (V&V) activities.
โ€ข Evaluate software changes for compliance with established SQA and configuration management requirements.
โ€ข Participate in requirements, design, test-readiness, implementation, and release reviews.
โ€ข Identify software quality issues, document findings, and track corrective actions through closure.
โ€ข Verify traceability between requirements, design, implementation, testing, and acceptance.
โ€ข Support quality assessments and audits of software development and maintenance processes.
โ€ข Review configuration management and change-control records.
โ€ข Support safety- and quality-affecting software activities where applicable.
โ€ข Work collaboratively with software developers, project leads, engineers, DBAs, system administrators, and customer stakeholders.
โ€ข Maintain auditable SQA documentation and objective evidence.
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
โ€ข Minimum 10 years of Software Quality Assurance, software quality engineering, software testing, verification/validation, or related experience.
โ€ข Experience with formal software development lifecycle processes.
โ€ข Experience reviewing requirements, designs, test documentation, and software lifecycle artifacts.
โ€ข Knowledge of configuration management, change control, defect management, verification, validation, and software testing.
โ€ข Ability to conduct independent technical and quality reviews.
โ€ข Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข DOE, Hanford, nuclear, industrial, utility, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated environment experience.
โ€ข Experience with safety-related or quality-affecting software.
โ€ข Familiarity with DOE software quality assurance requirements and nuclear quality environments.
โ€ข Experience supporting software audits, assessments, and corrective-action programs.
โ€ข Relevant ASQ, CSQE, ISTQB, or software quality certification.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
