Job description

Deep Roots. Solid Growth. Caring People.
Rooted in Wyoming! We are Blue Cross Blue Shield Wyoming: a not-for-profit health insurer with offices throughout the state. Ever since a small group of caring, persistent Wyoming women helped us put down roots in 1945, everything we do is aimed at better health care for the people of Wyoming.
Our Vision: We envision a future where integrity, compassion, and trust define a local health insurance experience. Committed to doing the right thing for our members, employees, and community, we strive to protect and contribute to the health and care of all we serve.
Our Mission: provide our members with access to local health insurance solutions that prioritize health, care, and well-being for those who call Wyoming home.
If our passion and purpose resonate with you, you may be who we are looking for. The role we are looking to fill:
As the Network Administrator with the BCBSWY IT Team, you will help maintain and enhance our enterprise network environment. In this role, you will manage core network infrastructure - including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, wireless systems, and Layer 2/Layer 3 configurations - ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and aligned with business needs.
Your work will directly support the stability and performance of our network, helping ensure that critical systems stay connected and protected. You will collaborate closely with internal network administrators, contribute to problem-solving and process improvements, and serve as a backup resource for team members. You will also prepare weekly and special reports and work with host site support personnel to maintain remote applications.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong desire to learn new skills and work with new technologies. You will demonstrate technical expertise across LAN/WAN infrastructure, network security, and server management, along with a deep understanding of core networking fundamentals. You should be proficient with firewalls, VPNs, security policies, and vulnerability management, and possess strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in information security, information technology, or a related field; directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of two years of experience in networking, network administration, SASE, or a related discipline is required. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Entra, Intune, Purview, Teams, and OneDrive is strongly preferred, along with continued pursuit of education in information technology-typically in system administration, information technology, or a related field.
