As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at New Home Mental and Behavioral Hospital, you will primarily focus on serving individuals with various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. By fostering a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship, you will empower clients to navigate their challenges and develop coping strategies that promote resilience and improved mental health outcomes.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York is required.
• Expertise in established treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is essential.
• Strong familiarity with psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals.
