Engineer I

Location: Snowmass Club | Snowmass Village, CO
Reports to: Chief Engineer & Engineering Manager
Supervises: None

Are you someone who enjoys fixing problems, working with your hands, and keeping things running smoothly? Snowmass Club is seeking an Engineer I who takes pride in maintaining beautiful facilities, solving maintenance challenges, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for our members, guests, and team members.

In this role, you'll support the operation and maintenance of club facilities, residences, pools, spas, and equipment throughout the property. No two days are the same—you may be troubleshooting a mechanical issue, performing preventative maintenance, or helping ensure our facilities are operating at their very best.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a team that keeps the Club running behind the scenes.

What You'll DoLeadership & Culture

• Support a positive and collaborative team environment

Facility & Equipment Maintenance

• Perform general repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, furniture, woodwork, AV systems, elevators, ventilation systems, and building structures
• Assist with maintaining air conditioning systems, refrigerators, ice makers, and pool pumps
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established procedures
• Develop skills across multiple maintenance trades and building systems

Pool & Spa Operations

• Operate and maintain pool, spa, filtration, and chlorination systems
• Conduct water testing and maintain daily records to meet health department requirements
• Assist in maintaining safe, clean, and properly functioning aquatic facilities

Safety & Property Care

• Help maintain a safe environment for members, guests, and employees
• Follow emergency procedures and fulfill assigned responsibilities during emergencies
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them proactively

Team & Club Support

• Attend departmental meetings and training sessions
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new maintenance skills and technologies
• Support overall Club operations and perform additional duties as assigned
• Accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

What Makes You Great in This Role

• One year of maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance systems preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to mechanical equipment, chemicals, noise, and maintenance-related environments
