Job description

Project Manager Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid 1 Day Per Week Onsite). May consider Remote candidateswith Softeon WMS implementation experience.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) as part of a large-scale warehouse modernization initiative.

This role will serve as the primary project leader responsible for coordinating business stakeholders, IT teams, warehouse operations, and implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle. The selected candidate will help drive the successful deployment of a SaaS-based warehouse and fulfillment platform while supporting operational transformation efforts within a distribution environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience leading warehouse technology, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or distribution-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end implementation of a Softeon Warehouse Management System (WMS) Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables Coordinate activities across warehouse operations, supply chain, fulfillment, IT, and vendor teams Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and implementation partners Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing, training, deployment, and go-live activities Develop and maintain project plans, executive status reports, and communication plans Drive organizational change management and user adoption initiatives Lead cutover planning and operational readiness activities Identify project risks and proactively resolve obstacles impacting delivery Ensure successful execution of testing, deployment, integration, and go-live milestones Maintain alignment between business objectives and project outcomes throughout the implementation lifecycle

Required Qualifications

8+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale business and technology initiatives Proven experience leading at least one full Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation - Softeon preferred Experience managing third-party software implementation vendors Strong background in warehousing, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, manufacturing, or supply chain operations Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle from planning through production deployment Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills Experience leading cross-functional teams across business and technical organizations Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise WMS platforms - Softeon preferred Warehouse relocation or distribution center startup experience ERP implementation experience Supply Chain Management system experience PMP Certification Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI, or Tableau Experience supporting operational transformation initiatives within warehouse or distribution environments
