Job description

Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion CX & PPM Architect to lead the design, implementation, and integration of Oracle Fusion Customer Experience (CX) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) across the organization. This is a high-impact, senior-level role that will connect the customer lifecycle, from lead capture and opportunity management through project delivery and portfolio oversight, into a unified, data-driven platform.

As the company continues its multi-year digital transformation, this role sits at the intersection of two critical workstreams: the new CRM implementation (Oracle Fusion CX) and the buildout of enterprise-wide project and portfolio management capabilities (Oracle Fusion PPM). The ideal candidate will architect the bridge between customer-facing operations and project execution, giving leadership end-to-end visibility from sales pipeline to project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of Oracle Fusion CX as the organization's new CRM platform, replacing legacy systems and aligning with the broader Oracle Fusion ecosystem
  • Architect and deploy Oracle Fusion PPM capabilities to manage project portfolios, resource allocation, financial tracking, and program-level oversight across multiple operating divisions
  • Design the integration architecture between CX and PPM, ensuring seamless data flow from customer acquisition and opportunity management through project initiation, execution, and closeout
  • Build integrations with the existing Oracle Fusion Financials implementation to enable unified project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost tracking
  • Define integration touchpoints with Workday HCM for resource management, capacity planning, and workforce allocation across active projects
  • Collaborate with internal architecture teams to ensure alignment between enterprise scheduling workflows and PPM portfolio views
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, working with both technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting across CX and PPM to provide real-time visibility into sales pipeline health, project portfolio performance, and resource utilization
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Oracle Fusion CX and PPM best practices
  • Support change management and user adoption efforts across both platforms

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise solutions architecture, with hands-on implementation experience across Oracle Fusion CX (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and Oracle Fusion PPM (Project Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Management)
  • Demonstrated experience designing cross-module integrations within the Oracle Fusion ecosystem, particularly between CX, PPM, and Financials
  • Strong understanding of project-based businesses, ideally in asset-intensive, engineering-driven, or professional services environments
  • Experience with full implementation lifecycles: requirements gathering, solution design, gap analysis, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation optimization
  • Ability to create functional design documents (FDDs), integration specifications, and data migration strategies
  • Excellent communication skills — able to present complex architectural decisions to executive audiences and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and drive results in a fast-paced, transformation-heavy environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Primavera P6 and understanding of how PPM and enterprise scheduling systems interact in large-scale project environments
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM integration patterns for workforce and resource management
  • Background in CRM migrations, particularly from legacy or homegrown systems to Oracle Fusion CX
  • Oracle Cloud certifications in CX or PPM modules
  • Prior experience in a decentralized, multi-division organization undergoing large-scale digital transformation
  • Exposure to industry-specific technology platforms alongside Oracle Fusion
  • Experience with agile/waterfall hybrid delivery methodologies

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 6–12 months, the ideal candidate will have completed a current-state assessment of customer management and project portfolio processes, defined the target-state architecture for Oracle Fusion CX and PPM, established the integration framework connecting CX → PPM → Financials, and delivered an initial phase of CRM functionality with a clear PPM deployment roadmap. The organization will have measurably improved visibility into how opportunities convert to active projects and how project portfolios perform against financial targets.
