Job description

Job Summary:

The Oracle Fusion Architect is responsible for serving as the technical design authority for the firm's Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform. In this role, the Oracle Fusion Architect is charged with establishing and governing technical design standards for integrations, extensions, reporting, and batch processing solutions, while promoting the use of Oracle delivered functionality whenever appropriate. This position provides technical leadership through authoring design documentation, reviewing development work performed by internal and third-party resources, and leading modernization efforts across the existing custom extension portfolio.

Job Duties:

     Develops Technical Design Documents for OIC integrations, VBCS extensions, BIP reports, Custom ESS Jobs, and Fusion REST API solutions prior to development
     Evaluates business and functional requirements against Oracle Fusion delivered functionality and determine appropriate technical approaches based on platform capabilities and business needs
     Contributes to architecture, integration, extensibility, and reporting standards across the Oracle Fusion custom development portfolio
     Proposes technical approaches prior to development and provides guidance to promote alignment with architectural standards and supportability expectations.
     Reviews completed development work for alignment with approved design standards
     Produces and maintains Architecture Decision Records to document technical decisions and architectural direction
     Supports the definition and application of RICE development standards, including naming conventions, error handling, integration patterns, observability requirements, and component standards
     Reviews vendor-delivered integrations, extensions, reports, and batch processes to assess compliance with BDO technical standards and supportability expectations
     Identifies technical debt, design risks, and performance concerns within custom solutions and provide documented remediation recommendations
     Partners with platform operations teams on environment strategy, deployment practices, and CI/CD design considerations
     Performs technical assessments of the existing OIC, VBCS, BIP, and ESS portfolio to identify performance, reliability, supportability, and maintainability gaps
     Contributes to modernization planning and roadmaps for the Oracle Fusion custom extension portfolio
     Advances testing approaches for integrations, VBCS applications, and Oracle Fusion REST API solutions to improve quality and release readiness
     Participates in solution shaping activities by providing technical feasibility analysis, architecture guidance, and design recommendations
     Collaborates with functional leads and business analysts to refine requirements and recommend maintainable, fit-for-purpose solutions
     Mentors internal developers and third-party development teams through design reviews, technical guidance, and best practice documentation
     Serves as a key technical escalation point for architectural issues, integration failures, and performance challenges in development and production environments
     Supports continuous improvement of Oracle development processes, standards, and delivery practices

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
  Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Engineering, or Business Information Technology, preferred   
Experience:
     Six (6) or more years of professional software development experience, required
     Four (4) or more years of ERP technical architecture and custom development experience, required
     Experience designing and supporting Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, including monitoring, error handling, and performance optimization, required
     Experience developing Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications using Oracle JET, required
     Experience using Oracle Fusion REST APIs across Finance, PPM, HCM, or Procurement, required
     Experience developing Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) reports, including data models, templates, and bursting, required
     Experience developing Custom ESS Jobs and PL/SQL procedures and packages, required
     Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, preferred
     Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions, preferred
     Experience with Oracle ATP, ORDS, and autonomous database development, preferred
     Experience within a professional services environment, Oracle implementation environment, or enterprise internal platform ownership model, preferred
License/Certifications:
     Oracle Cloud certification in Integration, Applications, or technical architecture, preferred

     Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $125,000 - $155,000
Maryland Range: $125,000 - $155,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $155,000
