As an Operations Technologist, you will be a key contributor supporting production operations, tooling readiness, and crossfunctional coordination.

Location:

On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia 

Your Day to Day as an Operations Technologist 2: 

  • Perform daytoday operational support, including tool refurbishments, consumable inventory upkeep, and audit functions for Cat A and Cat B records.
  • Manage all aspects of bulk consumables for WMO production - from creating SAP purchase requisitions to coordinating approvals and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Partner closely with FLMs and Engineering, serving as the liaison who helps balance production throughput with equipment needs for development projects.
  • Support a highly collaborative environment by ensuring materials, tools, and documentation are accurate, available, and auditready.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate of Science degree in a Technology program and 2 years of related experience as a technologist or FLM.
  • Welding experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with FLMs, Operators, Engineers, and Management.
  • Demonstrated organizational strength and the ability to communicate clearly with individuals at every level of the organization.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $64,000 - $90,000

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $90,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
