Job description

Project: Prisma to Wiz.io Migration – CNAPP Deployment & Enablement


Role Summary

The Wiz Implementation Engineer (Automation) will be responsible for deploying, integrating, and automating Wiz CNAPP capabilities across cloud, Kubernetes, and container environments.

The role focuses on enabling security visibility (containers, registries, CI/CD pipelines) and building automation for onboarding, validation, and reporting, ensuring scalable and consistent deployment aligned with program objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Wiz Deployment & Integration

  • Configure and onboard Wiz across:
    • Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
    • Kubernetes clusters and workloads
    • Container registries (GAR, ACR, JFrog or equivalent)
  • Enable scanning for:
    • Vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and IAM risks
  • Validate onboarding completeness and asset visibility

2. Kubernetes & Container Security Enablement

  • Onboard clusters, namespaces, and workloads into Wiz
  • Enable:
    • Container image scanning
    • Runtime security visibility
  • Validate coverage and consistency of security findings

3. Registry & Cloud Security Configuration

  • Implement registry scanning and connectivity setup
  • Troubleshoot onboarding and scanning issues
  • Ensure accurate ingestion of security findings across environments

4. CI/CD Integration (Wiz CLI)

  • Integrate Wiz CLI into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI)
  • Enable:
    • Automated vulnerability scanning
    • Policy enforcement during builds and deployments
  • Validate pipeline scan execution and outputs

5. Python Automation & Tooling

  • Develop automation scripts for:
    • Wiz API integrations (scan data, assets, findings)
    • Onboarding validation and monitoring
    • Coverage and scan reporting
  • Automate:
    • Scan result extraction and processing
    • Validation of registry, cluster, and pipeline scans
  • Build reusable utilities for:
    • Coverage tracking across environments
    • Reporting and dashboards

6. Monitoring & Validation

  • Validate:
    • Scan outputs across cloud, containers, and registries
    • Consistency of risk findings across environments
  • Generate deployment and coverage reports
  • Support troubleshooting and issue resolution

Technical Skills & Experience

Core Skills

  • Strong Python scripting:
    • REST API integration
    • JSON/data processing
  • Experience with automation and scripting for cloud/security workflows

Cloud & Security

  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Wiz / Prisma / CNAPP tools
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Cloud security (IAM, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations)
    • Container security concepts

Kubernetes & Containers

  • Working knowledge of:
    • Kubernetes (pods, namespaces, RBAC)
    • Docker and container lifecycle
  • Experience onboarding Kubernetes into security platforms

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Experience integrating tools into:
    • CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and pipeline-based deployments

Preferred

  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments
  • Experience in enterprise-scale security rollout programs
  • Experience in regulated environments

Experience Required

  • 5–8 years in Cloud Security / DevSecOps / Platform Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • CNAPP tools (Wiz preferred)
    • Python automation
