WITRON Integrated Logistics, Inc. Position: Sr. Platform Installation Manager Responsible for the proper execution of all installation tasks and managing a group of steelworks employees and sub-contractors. Oversees the installation of the racking and platforms for automated material handling systems at U.S. project sites. Coordinates with the GC Construction Manager, Project Managers, and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed in a safe and timely manner. Utilizes knowledge of project management, construction, and industrial automation. Creates detailed AutoCAD drawings and instructions with proper method statements to support subcontractors in installation. Reads and interprets project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand. Prepares, designs, and verifies technical drawings and designs. Directs the installation of racking and platforms and any adjustments that are required. Coordinates all construction and installation related topics (timeline, milestones, etc.) with subcontractors in coordination with the GC Construction Manager. Communicates and coordinates all critical construction and installation related topics such as timeline issues, safety breaches, topics regarding layout and other project issues with the Project Manager, GC Construction Manager, PLC Project Leader, and Mechanical Installation. Controls the general timeline and deadlines set in the contract. Leads construction meetings with all subcontractors involved in the racking and platform installation and creates the meeting minutes and construction log. Prepares and adjusts construction and installation related documents. Briefs the sub-contractor’s construction manager and hands over existing codes of conduct for the construction site. Conducts secondary checks of safety measures in the various construction areas for WITRON companies and WITRON sub-contractors to make sure all safety measures are always being kept. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. 100% domestic travel required to visit client sites and oversee projects, additional international travel required for HQ team meetings. Supervises five Steel Works Installation Managers. This position requires the minimum of 1 year of related construction project management experience. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated experience with each of the following: (1) Installing and constructing industrial automation equipment; (2) Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings and instructions with proper method statements to support subcontractors in installation; (3) Project management, construction, and industrial automation; (4) Reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams; and (5) Leading construction meetings with subcontractors involved in installation and creating meeting minutes and construction logs. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment. 100% domestic travel required to visit client sites and oversee projects, additional international travel required for HQ team meetings. Salary: $82,243.00 to $95,000.00/year. Full-time, may telecommute from any location in the U.S. HQ at 3721 N. Ventura Drive, Suite 140, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
