What is devanning?

Devanning is the process of unloading cargo from a shipping container, truck, or other transport vehicle. This job typically involves removing goods, inspecting them for damage, and sorting or staging them for further distribution. Devanning is a crucial step in the supply chain, ensuring that products are handled efficiently and safely as they transition from transport to storage or delivery. The work can be physically demanding and may require use of equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule in devanning jobs typically refers to a probationary period of three months during which an employee's performance and fit for the role are evaluated. Successful completion of this period may lead to permanent employment, benefits, or further responsibilities.
