Job description

Synergy Pet Group is one of the fastest-growing players in the pet industry, earning a place on the Inc. 5000 every year since 2018 and sustaining more than 35% annual growth for the past decade. Our portfolio of pet care offerings includes pet-related employee benefits, the industry’s only PPO-style pet insurance, veterinary membership programs, and the veterinary industry’s fastest-growing practice management software. These solutions are used by thousands of veterinary practices and millions of pet owners nationwide. As we scale, we’re building a team that thrives in a high-growth environment and is excited to help shape the future of veterinary care.

Synergy Pet Group (SPG) is building the infrastructure powering the future of pet health care.

Our portfolio includes two rapidly growing businesses serving veterinary hospitals and pet parents in complementary ways:

Wishbone

Wishbone helps pet parents afford better care through pet healthcare savings, wellness, and insurance solutions. We partner with veterinary practices, employers, and strategic distribution partners to expand access to affordable pet care while driving recurring revenue growth.

Shepherd Veterinary Software

Shepherd is the fastest-growing veterinary practice management software in the U.S. We're on a mission to simplify running a veterinary practice, empowering vets and their teams so that they can rekindle their joy of practicing veterinary medicine. Our success story is a testament to a powerful combination: a stellar product, exceptional people, and an unwavering commitment to culture.

Together, these businesses create a uniquely connected ecosystem across veterinary software, healthcare affordability, and practice growth.

As both companies scale rapidly, we are looking for a highly strategic and operationally excellent Revenue Operations leader to build the systems, processes, forecasting, and cross-functional alignment that power our next phase of growth.

The Role

We are seeking a Director or VP of Revenue Operations to architect, scale, and optimize the revenue infrastructure across both Wishbone and Shepherd. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role responsible for aligning Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, Finance, and Data around shared operational frameworks, reporting, forecasting, and execution.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating strategically with executive leadership and rolling up their sleeves to improve CRM architecture, funnel design, reporting accuracy, and GTM workflows.

A unique aspect of this role is the complexity of supporting two high-growth businesses with:

  • distinct GTM motions
  • separate CRMs and operational systems
  • overlapping stakeholders and leadership teams
  • interconnected customer journeys and partnership opportunities

This leader will help create operational clarity and scalability across both organizations while ensuring teams are aligned around a consistent set of metrics, definitions, and growth priorities.

What You’ll Own Revenue Operations Strategy & Leadership
  • Build and own the long-term RevOps strategy across Wishbone and Shepherd by creating scalable operational frameworks that can support rapid growth.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Data, enabling faster data-driven decision-making across leadership.
Revenue Systems Architecture
  • Own CRM strategy, governance, and optimization across two separate revenue ecosystems, evaluating opportunities to standardize lead flows across each business, enabling scalable workflows.
  • Build reliable forecasting models across multiple revenue streams and GTM motions, creating a single source of truth across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Finance.
  • Develop executive dashboards and operational reporting for pipeline, conversion, retention, expansion, and partner performance, improving reporting trust across the organization.
Funnel Optimization & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner with Marketing and Growth teams to optimize the full customer lifecycle from lead generation through retention and expansion, creating alignment across acquisition, onboarding, account management, and partner success workflows.
  • Ensure all revenue-facing teams are operating from consistent reporting and shared goals by improving visibility into CAC, conversion, retention, LTV, and revenue efficiency metrics.
Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing RevOps organization over time.
  • Establish strong operating cadences, accountability, and execution rigor.
  • Create documentation, training, and enablement processes that support scale.
  • Foster a culture of analytical thinking, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For Required Experience
  • 5+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, GTM Operations, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting high-growth SaaS, marketplace, or multi-business organizations.
  • Strong experience managing CRM ecosystems, reporting infrastructure, forecasting, and GTM processes.
  • Deep understanding of marketing, sales, customer success, and partnership funnels.
  • Proven ability to align multiple stakeholders across different business units and priorities.
  • Experience building scalable operational systems in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Excellent executive communication and organizational leadership skill.
