Job description

Field Service Manager

The Field Service Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership and field execution support for Fortress Downhole Tools' Cyclops Setting Tool Recycling Program. This role maintains a strong field presence to support customer operations, improve technical performance, and reinforce Fortress processes and standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customer field representatives to execute Cyclops Setting Tool operations at wellsite locations
  • Serve as the primary onboarding facilitator for the Eagle Ford and other basins as needed
  • Provide field-based technical support for Cyclops Setting Tools
  • Conduct routine field visits to reinforce proper handling and operational procedures with wireline crews
  • Initiate and report incident investigations in a timely manner
  • Support district operations management as required
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, rebuild, and test Cyclops Setting Tools in accordance with Fortress Work Instructions when necessary
  • Report all steps of the Cyclops Recycling Program through iFortress software
  • Support technical onboarding and training of new hires
  • Communicate field issues and technical concerns to management and sales teams
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
  • Uphold professionalism, integrity, and strong customer service standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with downhole tools used in pump-down operations, including wireline setting tools, frac plugs, and perforating guns
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as required to support field operations
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and operational management skills
  • Technical sales experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and Prophet 21 ERP
  • Forklift training
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
  • CDL preferred
