Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the activities within programs. Responsibilities include project planning, activity tracking, risk/issue identification and mitigation, reporting, and quality control. The role provides leadership and direction to the project teams and acts as a liaison with the leadership team and other stakeholders.

The position is based in Germantown, MD.

YOUR WORK AT MAXTENA WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead technology research and development projects
  • Manage product development through stage gates
  • Plan and manage multiple project scopes, schedules, and risks/issues
  • Schedule, note, and facilitate project status briefings
  • Assist with requirements gathering
  • Prepare reports and briefings for the executives
  • Manage project portfolio dashboard
  • Track customer feedback and product improvements
  • Work closely with engineering and software staff on product enhancements
  • Work with cross-functional team on product launches and delivery

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in wireless technologies
  • 2-3 years of project management experience, preferably in a technology product development
  • Demonstrated experience working with executives
  • Demonstrated experience managing scope, cost, risk and schedule
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including concise presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with large teams
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and achieve goals
