At HDR, our employee-owners are fully engaged in creating a welcoming environment where each of us is valued and respected. We foster a culture of inclusion and continuously ask what our impact on the world is.

We believe building engineering is more than systems and structures; it’s about powering progress and enabling innovation. As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you’ll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive. Your work will directly support technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project management services focused on the Mid‑Atlantic aerospace market sector and other sectors as needed.
  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, from development and initiation to close‑out.
  • Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle, ensuring on‑time completion of deliverables.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort with the team to keep work within budget and schedule.
  • Work with Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing aerospace projects of various sizes, complexities, and building typologies.
  • PMP certification.
  • Interest in advancing digital delivery and AI‑supported workflows in infrastructure projects.
  • Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid‑Atlantic area.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Seven years of related experience, including a minimum of two years in project management.
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
  • MS Office and MS Project experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture.
  • U.S. naturalized citizenship (required by client contract).
Equal Opportunity

At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity. We consider all qualified applicants, regardless of criminal histories, arrest, and conviction records.
