Job description

Project Managers for Low Voltage and Physical Security Installation.

Tel Tech Networks Inc. strives to satisfy customer needs and building lasting relationships with our customers and vendors.

Project Manager Position is to perform day to day account management for all phases of Tel Tech Networks, Outside Plant, Premise Cabling, Security, Network, DAS, 802.11 Wireless, RF Wireless, A/V and Miscellaneous Projects. This includes Customer interactions, sales, including bid preparation, estimating job costs, communicating with clients/contractors, coordinating workers, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget and done in a safe fashion.

General Duties:

  • Provide the same Tel Tech Networks service and quality. Represent the company in a professional manor with customers, vendor and employees.
  • To help estimating, material take-offs, develop bill of materials for projects, job costing, and work with estimating department, get submittals and to review and submit final bid packages.
  • Stays within plans and completion of projects, following the logical pattern for utilization of resources and periodic review of job costs.
  • Ensure we have the right construction contracts and all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Orders the supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Maintain optimal customer satisfaction on the jobsite.
  • Recruiting and identification of candidates for technician positions for their teams.

Project Oversight, Progress Tracking and Reporting

  • Supply Work in Progress (WIP) Status to OPS manager
  • Help with Accounts Receivable (AR) collections
  • Complete Warranty documents for manufacture approval
  • Manages their customers and staff
  • Works with subcontractors working on various phases of project
  • Monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations
  • Manage budgets in field to compensate for cost overruns without affecting quality
  • Must communicate effectively with personnel and upper management on a regular basis to explain the progress and strategies made.
  • Ensures that all necessary materials, tools and equipment are onsite as needed and are current models/versions.
  • Supervises techs, review of reports, checks on difficulties and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
  • Works with contractors/ AM/ OPS managers on progress and any necessary modifications of plans that require changes or adjustments.
  • Keeps on budget with costs, quality, and speed
  • Manages crews, techs, other Tel Tech (TT) personnel and outside contractors.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Basic understanding of construction requirements/issues
  • Familiarity with computers and software programs including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Visio, and accounting systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • A Personal commitment to a safe working environment for employees
  • Flexible during times of change and willingness to do what it takes to accomplish an objective within company policies and safety standards
  • Ability to document and report job progress
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
