Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.


The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.


The Network Engineer performs Tier III network engineering and escalation support in strict alignment with the SIE Operations Order (OPORD). This highly analytical role requires comprehensive, hands-on technical expertise in network architecture, hardware, and software. Qualified candidates must possess extensive experience in network design and deployment, LAN/WAN interfacing, cybersecurity protocols, TCP/IP, and enterprise-level server and network infrastructure.


The primary focus of this position is directing the design, implementation, and continuous maintenance of the USSOCOM Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program. Additionally, the Network Engineer oversees the strategic planning, modeling, simulation, installation, management, and cross-functional coordination of the enterprise network. This position pro-actively monitors performance, diagnoses complex system anomalies, implements optimization strategies, evaluates emerging vendor technologies to meet evolving government requirements, and provides technical mentor-ship to junior network support personnel.



  • Engineer enterprise data, VPN, and mobility solutions in strict compliance with National Security Agency (NSA) CSfC guidelines.

  • Implement secure, resilient solutions utilizing diverse Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products.

  • Perform daily, hands-on administration of multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba platforms.

  • Establish and operate complex network architectures and underlying infrastructure.

  • Provide high-level technical expertise and Tier III support for enterprise networking technologies, including LAN/WAN hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, mobility controllers, and encryption devices.

  • Collaborate closely with vendors, government stakeholders, telecommunications carriers, and internal technical teams to drive network implementation, optimization, and life-cycle management.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD

  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including specialized experience directly aligned with the core duties of this position

  • Strong technical proficiency in IPsec VPN architecture

  • DoDD 8570 IAT II Certification AND

  • CCNP (Collaboration, Data Center, Enterprise, Security, or Service Provider) OR

  • Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)OR

  • Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-SEC, or JNCIP-SP)


Desired Qualifications:



  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 441 – Network Operations Specialist - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.

  • Experience administering CISCO, Juniper SRX, and Aruba platforms

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
