Position Summary:


The Service Delivery Project Manager I coordinates the installation, activation, and billing of residential fiber-to-the-home builds, commercial service orders, UCaaS phone systems, and Type II circuit orders. This role manages project timelines, coordinates with internal teams and vendors, and communicates with customers to ensure the successful delivery of Summit Broadband services. The position plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and with a positive customer experience. This role provides the opportunity to develop advanced service delivery and telecommunications project management experience within a growing regional fiber provider.

Job Description:


  • Manage the installation and billing of residential fiber-to-the-home builds, commercial service orders, UCaaS phone systems, and Type II circuit ordering and acceptance, collaborating with internal Summit Broadband teams to ensure timely service delivery and a positive customer experience.
  • Build and manage customer relationships necessary to meet their expectations.
  • Manage a positive customer experience through effective communication and coordination.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, sales, vendors, and the customer regarding installation timeline.
  • Utilize initiative and appropriate judgment to resolve customer installation issues while promoting customer retention and maintaining company revenue integrity.
  • Utilize internal systems to initiate and complete projects, manage budgets, and manage customer requests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the company's practices, operations processes, service offerings, and promotions.
  • Utilize the billing system to ensure timely and accurate billing of installed services.ย 
  • Recommend and implement process improvements designed to maximize revenues.
  • Must be able to manage work independently with little supervision.


Job Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree or equivalent telecommunications project management experience
    preferred.ย 
  • Experience supporting or managing network builds, OSP construction, UCaaS call flow design, or Type II management.ย 
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with peers, internal stakeholders, and customers.
  • Strong and resourceful critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge of the Windows operating system
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel and complex spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Previous experience working with Salesforce and/or SiteTracker preferred
  • Must be flexible to changes in the business.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug testing.
