JOB SUMMARY:ย 


The duties of this position are to provide on-site installation, testing and certification of Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) upgrades. Work closely with the implementation team including Project Managers and Field Area Managers to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the upgrade process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Other duties may be assigned:


Provide on-site Installation, validation and testing of RTLS system upgrades.

Perform installation of Clinical Workflow Solutions' and their partners' applications/systems. This primarily entails installing and configuring applications on servers and proprietary devices/hardware, configuring system networks and working with the customer's wired and wireless infrastructure to complete implementations and upgrades.

Perform RF surveys to verify proper locating coverage for hospital areas, plan and design device layouts for RTLS upgrades and coordinate with customer IT or MIS departments.

Make recommendations on tuning and/or configuration of network/wireless environments to promote optimal performance and cohabitation of wireless and CWS applications.

Upgrade server software and upgrade firmware as applicable and validate system post upgrade.

Complete, post and update system, network and server documentation in compliance with standard operating procedures to ensure successful support of the system. Update floor plan with actual device location post installation.

Utilize internal tools such Microsoft CRM and the CWS InfoCenter to properly document all implementations and upgrades.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Safety training, meeting and medical testing requirements are kept up-to-date. Operates safely and within guidelines or regulations. Demonstrates a pro-active approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental and customer regulations.

Adherence to all company policies and procedures. Effectively implement service policies and procedures to support company objectives, including service documentation, SOP/WI training, expense reporting, maintenance of test equipment and filing and record keeping systems in accordance with standard work.

Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

This position requires a BS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience in a multi-site, professional services environment supporting technical and non-technical users.

Willing and able to travel approximately 90%-100%

Minimum 5 years network experience (wired or wireless).

Advanced understanding of deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows platforms, SQL, IIS server and associated networked systems.

Experience in working with wireless (RF), networking systems

Detailed knowledge of common network protocols / architecture (TCP/IP, IP routing, the OSI model, VLAN) and their relevant security issues

Possess expertise in client/server networking environments and best practices, experience with hardware vendors and a strong understanding of networking aspects, TCP/IP, OSI Model, Microsoft Windows Suite, SQL, managed switches (Cisco, Bay, Netgear, etc.), VOIP, network security, etc.

Basic PBX telephony and/or VoIP technology knowledge and basic configuration

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., be capable of climbing a ladder and have a valid driver's license.

Candidates should possess strong oral, written communication skills to resolve complex network and server related issues into actionable concepts for customers to understand.

May be required to work weekends or after hours to meet customer needs.

Maintain a professional image and demonstrates a willingness to contribute at all levels.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization (both within Hospitals and with third party contractors).

Experience configuring, setting up, and debugging PC-based systems.

Experience in telephony or VoIP technology

Experience in network security

Preferred Certifications in the following:

Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCDP or CCNP, CWLS, CWNA,

Wireless certifications: CWNE, CWNP, CWSP, AWLAT, MNAWS, MNAWP, MNCE,
