Job Summary  

As a Marine Systems Installer, you'll install electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems that are essential to the safety, comfort, and reliability of every Hinckley yacht. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in marine systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues with confidence. Responsibilities

  • Installation: Install electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including wiring, fixtures, engines, pumps, ventilation, and plumbing components. Ensure all installations are watertight.
  • Tools: Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Measure, cut, and strip wire; connect wiring to terminals using appropriate tools.
  • Test: Test electrical systems for voltage, resistance, and phase angle using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other equipment. Troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Other: Assists in the installation of engine over mount rails. May install intake and discharge fittings to provide water for plumbing and engine cooling. All duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in marine systems installation or related trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
  • Physical Requirements: Lift and carry over 25 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.
  • Certifications: Vocational technical school degree/certification (preferred). Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
  • Ability to install and test electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of marine safety standards with experience in watertight sealing, ventilation, and auxiliary systems.
