The Premier Indoor Comfort System Rewards Package:

  • High Earning Potential: Highly competitive compensation up to $70,000 per year, scaled strictly to your installation expertise and licensing.

Position Overview & Mission

As an HVAC Installation Specialist, you will head up the structural setup, replacement, and commissioning of heating, cooling, and air quality systems in residential and light commercial properties. You will lead an installation helper to cleanly dismantle old infrastructure and build out modern, energy-efficient comfort systems. By ensuring flawless performance, complete code compliance, and a clean home, you will guide customers to a 5-star experience.

The Schedule: Reliable day shifts (8-hour blocks), Monday through Friday, with consistent overtime opportunities to maximize your weekly take-home pay. (Note: This is an installation-focused role and does not require a standard emergency on-call repair rotation).

Essential Installation Duties
  • Efficiently dismantle and remove failing residential and commercial HVAC units (furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, and AC condensers).

  • Install new, high-efficiency equipment strictly according to manufacturer specifications and Kentucky mechanical codes.

  • Fabricate, modify, and hang customized sheet metal or flexible ductwork transitions to optimize airflow.

  • Safely connect line voltage, low-voltage control wiring, gas piping, and refrigerant lines.

  • Perform system pressure tests, vacuum pull-downs, and charge refrigerant lines to verify peak operating efficiency.

  • Walk the client through their new system, explain thermostat operations, and ensure their property is left spotless and undamaged.

Required Knowledge & Qualifications
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, component replacement, and making low-voltage electrical connections on furnaces, AC condensers, and air handlers.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a natural ability to break down technical HVAC concepts clearly for homeowners and property managers.

  • Compliance: High school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

  • Preferred but not required: Active EPA Universal or NATE certifications or any HVAC certification.

Physical Demands & Environment
  • Capability to safely lift, move, and maneuver field equipment weighing up to 100 lbs repeatedly.

  • Comfort operating in tight, dark, or restricted environments such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces.

  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders and step stools safely throughout the workday.

  • Resilience to work in variable seasonal indoor and outdoor temperatures.

  • Daily local travel (up to 75% of the time) to navigate between client dispatch locations.

Premier Indoor Comfort Design is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse, safe, and professional work environment for all team members.
