Operations Specialist ILocation: On-Site (8th Floor – Civic Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, some Saturdays (typically between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Reports To: Deposit Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Operations Specialist I performs routine operational duties that support the bank's deposit products and services. This role is responsible for accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Working under the guidance of the Deposit Operations Manager, the Operations Specialist I will develop knowledge of banking systems, procedures, and industry regulations. 
What You'll Do
Daily Deposit Operations
  •  Process ACH transactions, wire transfers, mobile deposits, ATM exceptions, and returned items. 
  •  Assist with NSF processing and exception item handling. 
  •  Review and balance daily reports while resolving discrepancies. 
  •  Complete daily operational tasks within established deadlines. 
Account Maintenance & Research
  •  Perform account maintenance, including: 
    •  Address changes 
    •  Stop payments 
    •  Check orders 
    •  Account research 
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of all account activity. 
Internal Support
  •  Respond to operational questions from branch staff and customer service teams. 
  •  Escalate complex issues to senior team members as appropriate. 
Compliance & Risk
  •  Maintain knowledge of applicable banking regulations, including Regulation CC, Regulation E, and the Bank Secrecy Act. 
  •  Follow bank policies, procedures, and audit standards. 
  •  Report errors, unusual activity, or control concerns promptly. 
Professional Development
  •  Complete assigned training and compliance courses. 
  •  Learn department procedures and banking systems under direct supervision. 
Qualifications
Required
  •  High school diploma or equivalent. 
  •  Strong attention to detail. 
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  •  Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. 
  •  Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new banking systems. 
Preferred
  •  Associate's degree. 
  •  0–2 years of banking or operations experience. 
  •  Experience with a bank core processing system. 
Physical & Work Environment
This position is based in an open office environment and requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, and use standard office equipment throughout the workday.
