Job description

Title:  Wire Operations Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA (hybrid)
Duration: 6-12+ month contract (optional extension or conversion)
Compensation: $30 - $33/hour
Position Summary:
Processes outgoing domestic and international US dollar and foreign currency wire transfers within the same day, meeting the Federal Reserve deadline of 3:45 pm PST. Verify the information entered is accurate. Authenticate wire requests by validating the initiator and confirming wire transfer specifics with an authorized representative of the account. Responsible for maintaining operational integrity of funds transfers through adherence to Bank policies and procedures. Maintains our philosophy of excellent customer service by deploying our first-in, first-out process.
Job Requirements
  • Verify Incoming, Outgoing USD/FX wires.
  • Repair Incoming USD payments.
  • Review Risk queue for overdraft and status codes.
  • Escalate any suspicious wires to supervisors for review.
  • Meet minimum production standards for the function.
  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
  • Complete all the training required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Must-Have
  • H.S. Diploma
  • 6 months and more of wire processing experience.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of all functions of the wire processor.
  • Excellent understanding of Bank systems as well as policies & procedures.
  • May perform as a utility person for the department.
  • May perform investigations.
  • Verbal communication skills and good problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of risk conditions and able to effectively partner with Relationship Managers to communicate risks for decisions.
