Shipping and Receiving Material Handler

Pay Range: $23 per hour
Position:
The Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for ensuring that finished products are shipped to the Company's customers in a timely and cost-effective manner and unloads raw materials.
Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand production cards, production schedules, and loading documents
  • Determine the correct equipment that is required to perform the essential job functions
  • Locate material, check product identification, weight, and stage load to ensure quick and efficient loading of the common carrier
  • Visualize loading plan and determine most efficient and safest way to load finished product on common carriers
  • Prepare loading tallies and complete other paperwork as required
  • Ability to work independently and with customers both internal and external
  • Ability to use bar code reader, RF scanners to ensure that proper product is being loaded, and basic computer skills for printing tags
  • Maintain good standards of housekeeping in general work area and observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:
  • Experience driving a forklift in a Production Environment
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background, drug/alcohol, and physical screenings
  • Must be at least 18 years old - due to work environment
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs
