Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and forward-thinking Process Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. This role is key in driving process efficiency, product consistency, and continuous improvement across our wire drawing, stranding, and extrusion processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic production environment and bring a proactive, team-oriented approach to solving problems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes including wire drawing, bunching, extrusion, and jacketing.
  • Implement process controls to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and enhance line throughput.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for process-related issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introductions and trials with a focus on scalability and manufacturability.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and process documentation.
  • Participate in capital projects, including specifying and commissioning new equipment or upgrades.
  • Ensure all processes meet safety, quality, and environmental standards, including ISO compliance.
  • Monitor key process metrics and drive data-driven decision making.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, ideally in the wire and cable industry.
  • Strong understanding of copper wire manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, SPC, and root cause analysis tools.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor to observe and improve processes.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and industrial controls is a plus. ย 
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with extrusion and tooling.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systemsย
