Job description

SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, is responsible for accurately and timely picking, packing, and shipping product on all orders received daily, receiving product and deliveries and pick up’s all while abiding by all safety regulations. Counter sales and customer service in store. This position is required to maintain a clean driving record and insurability under our company’s liability insurance policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years previous warehouse/material handling experience
  • Delivery driving experience A+
  • Clean driving record required
  • Customer Service/counter sales

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Basic math skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer literate
  • Communication skills to communicate with management and co-workers
  • General knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Counter Sales

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Pick product from bulk and primary locations, confirming part number and quantity using one or both of the following forklift and manual methods
  • Drive company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver product as needed
  • Complete daily vehicle safety check list
  • Clean and maintain work area daily
  • Counter sales of merchandise in store
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Lift, lower, carry product up to 70 lbs
  • Warehouse environment – work in hot/cold temperatures through the seasons
