Job description

Job Summary for Windows Systems Engineer:
- Provide technical support for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) applications for the Management and Budget sector within DTMB.
- Perform system administration tasks, including installation and configuration of systems and application components on both Windows and Linux environments.
- Gather, document, and analyze requirements; research and present solution options; recommend solutions for ongoing application changes and new projects.
- Ensure application and infrastructure security, adhering to Federal, State, and industry standards.
- Collaborate extensively with vendors, customers, and other technical teams to deliver projects and implement changes efficiently.
- Maintain and support various COTS applications and configure changes for certain SaaS products.
- Utilize expertise with Windows Server (2016+), RHEL 7.0+, Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Tomcat, IIS, MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools, XML, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Visio, and SSO technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID).
- Apply thorough knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN), firewalls, IoT, and system architecture, including vulnerability remediation and system diagramming.
- Support application and server environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- Role requires onsite presence in Lansing, MI from Day 1, with a preference for local candidates.
