Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Design, implement, and test end-user mission-critical applications that meet design documents
  • Develop solutions for Microsoft Windows Server environment, using Microsoft Technologies, such as J Script, C#, and SQL Server
  • Interface with Web Services using SOAP / REST interfaces using XML/JSON data.
  • Interface with SQL Server using .NET, ODBC, and ADO compliant database packages
  • Interacts with project managers and customers to gather and understand the requirements and deliverables for projects
  • Track project budget and schedule
  • Setup, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments for use in manufacturing production systems, as well as install company software on Windows operating systems
  • Work independently on tasks or collaborate with others on larger tasks
  • Demonstrate ability to be innovative and work as part of a multidisciplinary project team
  • Support / provide troubleshooting project implementations with customer
  • Learn new tools and processes
  • Travels, as needed, to customer sites.

Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or Engineering
Language Skills

Ability to communicate detailed technical information across the organization and tailor communication as needed to less technical personnel. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information, orally and written, and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers and/or customers.

Software Skills

Ability to follow standard software development life cycle. Ability to design, construct and test end-user applications that meet design documents. Ability to maintain or exceed compliance with standards. Ability to create and implement test plans. Ability to execute SQL stored procedures and gather data from SQL Server.

  • Proficiency in SQL programming required.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and C#.
  • Knowledge of XML and/or JSON schema preferred.
  • Prior programming experience required.
Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to flowchart or otherwise document software procedures and procedure steps.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, fractions, percentages
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating System. Prior Windows Server experience a plus
