Job description

You will be working as part of the Global Technologies team focusing on the development and support of end user technology including but not limited to the administration of Group Policy, Active Directory, SCCM 2012, MDT, Bitlocker, operating system deployment and other key support services.The role will involve implementing client technology projects as they arise. The role is service oriented so strong communication skills, organisational skills and customer focus are essential.
The candidate will be expected contribute to engineering tasks from conception through Operations transition, including building appropriate documentation and monitoring. Current initiatives are related to: Windows 10 migration and ongoing technology adoption, Virtual Desktop improvement and VDI access point replacements, and Modern Management solutions for desktops and other devices, and Cloud service adoption.
Migration Engineer
The candidate will have a very strong technical foundation, a strategic mind-set, great communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others in a truly global team. They should be adaptable enough to meet with the challenges of large enterprise environment.
The core responsibilities of this position include:

  • Engineer/sustain existing/new desktop related technologies into the firm
  • Ensure products meet the necessary security, supportability, performance requirements
  • Ensure we meet our users expectations around user experience
  • Create, review, maintain and update documentation.
  • Provide final escalation support to investigate & troubleshoot root causes.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing enterprise scale solutions and extensive experience/knowledge of Windows operating systems, management of end user productivity apps, standard associated technologies and third party products. Desired skills:
Description:
Participate in the implementation and support of the corporate mobile phone product (Windows Phone, iPhone, inTune, SCCM)
  • Participate in the development, testing and deployment of the corporate Windows workstation platform (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10)
  • Developing and maintains operational documentation and specifications on system builds and configurations
  • Monitoring the Client Technology Services incident queue, investigating and resolving logged 3rd level end user support incidents
  • Video conferencing system support and administration
  • Analysis and resolution of desktop hardware and software problems

Experience and Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years SCCM administration experience (application deployment, security patching, mobile device management)
  • Experience with PKI, user and computer certificate authorities
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, AD
  • 2+ years hands experience with Windows OS Image creation via MDT or SCCM
  • In Depth experience designing, managing and implementing group policy and group policy preferences
  • Proficiency in use of Powershell, VBscript
  • Experience with implementing and administering Bitlocker would be advantageous
  • Experience implementing OneDrive, Applocker and associated Windows 8.1 technologies
  • Experience in complex, large-scale implementations and product rollouts

Occasional out of hours and weekend work will be required.
