Your duties include working with power tools, sealing fittings, taking accurate measurements, fixing units, transporting supplies, and cleaning up the job site. Installation of doors and windows, climbing ladders to complete jobs, and communicating with the customer are also your responsibility. Window and door installers often encounter challenges such as dealing with unexpected structural issues, weather conditions, or working in tight or awkward spaces. To manage these challenges, it’s important to thoroughly assess each job site before starting, use proper safety equipment, and communicate closely with homeowners or contractors about any unforeseen complications. Many teams work in pairs or small groups for efficiency and safety, which also helps with troubleshooting on-site issues quickly.
