As the Factory Sales Representative (FSR), you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional in-home sales experience by building trust, educating customers, and providing tailored home improvement solutions.
FSRs are the primary customer-facing representatives of the Champion brand-driving sales results, building strong customer relationships, and representing our commitment to quality and service. This role requires self-motivation, professionalism, and a consistent drive for excellence in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to self-generate leads and sales opportunities in addition to those provided by the company.
• Conduct in-home sales appointments by building trust and educating customers on Champion products and services.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate home improvement solutions.
• Effectively evaluate, measure, and specify project details and options.
• Build and present detailed proposals using a consultative, solution-based approach.
• Negotiate and close sales while maintaining integrity and alignment with Champion's sales standards.
• Accurately complete and submit project documentation, contracts, and payment information in a timely manner.
• Attend daily sales and training meetings to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
• Support customer interactions at the Champion showroom and participate in local home and garden shows as assigned.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive demeanor, and customer-first attitude at all times.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, credit check, and criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and earn customer trust.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency and solid telephone etiquette.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and comfortably perform in-home demonstrations.
• Basic math skills, including accurate measurement using a tape measure.
• Prior in-home or direct-to-consumer sales experience preferred.
• Positive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
