The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


1. Sales

  • Ensure visual decisions are based on driving productivity in the region
  • Monitor sales and utilize the information to make moves with the store
  • Measure the effectiveness of all visual decisions and ensure changes are made quickly and in an agile manner when necessary

2. Strategic Planning

  • Create a visual plan for each store based on their specific needs
  • Create a strategic direction for their team that best supports that store or region
  • Implement new strategic ideas seasonally for their stores that will help drive business
  • Focus on making new brands successful each season

3. Human Resources

  • Ensure adequate manpower to achieve our desired results within our cost structure and percentage to sales
  • Ensure the right mix of talent to best service our stores
  • Ensure there is a path for success for each Associate

4. Communication

  • Maintain a strong flow of communication through the visual team
  • Develop strong ties with peers at store level
  • Create strong lines of communication with key departments; Buying, Marketing, HR, and etc.

5. Creativity

  • Continually working on new ideas that will help drive business
  • Deliver on brand standards for our designer areas
  • Develop and deliver on special projects, new shops, stores, and new brand launches

6. Leadership

  • Demonstrate strong leadership goals with direct reports as well as the entire team
  • Form strategic partnership with other leaders on the team
  • Foster innovation and a problem solving environment
  • Continually seeking out process improvement
  • Effectively communicate all goals and methods of execution to team members
  • Responsible for training of those reporting in to you; sets goals for each team member

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience leading a Visual Merchandising team
  • Relationship focused, collaborative spirt
  • Sound technical skills in prop installation window execution
  • Gains buy-in through credibility.
  • Navigates competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail andcreative merchandising skills
  • Self-starter; ability to follow directions with little supervision
  • Strong sense of urgency, ability to prioritize and work within tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Team player
