Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Window Hardware Installer to install hardware components for window and door systems in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately installing, securing, and testing window hardware to ensure proper functionality, product quality, and compliance with manufacturing specifications. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install window and door hardware including handles, locks, hinges, rollers, restrictors, latches, balances, weather-stripping, and related components according to specifications and production requirements.
  • Verify proper fit, alignment, and secure installation of hardware to ensure smooth operation and functionality.
  • Read and follow shop drawings, work orders, production specifications, and assembly instructions.
  • Inspect hardware and components for defects, damage, or missing parts prior to installation.
  • Perform functionality checks to ensure windows and hardware operate correctly before moving products to the next stage of production.
  • Use hand tools, drills, fastening tools, measuring equipment, and other assembly tools safely and effectively.
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, shortages, damaged materials to supervisors.
  • Coordinate with production, glazing, assembly, and quality control teams to resolve deficiencies and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations while following workplace safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce rework, and maintain product quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Previous experience in window and door manufacturing, hardware installation, assembly, or production preferred.
  • Knowledge of window hardware, assembly methods, and manufacturing processes is an asset.
  • Ability to read measurements, shop drawings, production instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, drills, fastening equipment, and measuring tools.
