Job description

Winding Machine Operator Department: Pre-Assembly
Mid-Central Electric is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Winding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating high-speed coil winding machines used to produce copper wound coils for medium-voltage control power transformers.
Pay Range: $41,500 - $45,500 annually Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Job Responsibilities
  • Review transformer winding and assembly documentation to determine proper wire size, number of turns, and core specifications
  • Set up winding machines according to production requirements
  • Operate winding equipment efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Manually insert insulation material between winding layers as required
  • Change wire and materials as needed during production runs
  • Monitor machine performance and report operational issues to supervisors promptly
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas during periods of reduced production volume

Qualifications
Required
  • Ability to operate machinery in a seated position for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience

Physical Requirements
