Job Description
Wilshire is expanding its portfolio management team, dedicated to delivering customized solutions for multi-asset and multi-alternative strategy portfolios. You will be an integral part of the portfolio management group, providing a team of senior portfolio managers with technical and analytical support.
What you'll do:
  • Assist with the construction of investment allocation models using both traditional and alternative mutual funds, ETFs and other SEC-registered investment vehicles
  • Generate, and improve upon, ongoing and ad-hoc investment analysis of risk and performance attribution on mutual funds and institutional separate account strategies using proprietary and non-proprietary analytic software
  • Produce standard monthly and quarterly fund and portfolio level reports, including performance updates, risk statistics, style exposures, and performance attribution
  • Schedule and participate in due diligence meetings and conference calls with investment managers; contribute to meeting notes

Qualifications
  • BA/BS in finance, economics, or related studies with strong academic credentials desired
  • 0 to 1 years of work experience in financial, accounting or investment industries
  • Interest in becoming a CFA charter holder
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for investment management
  • Interest in leveraging approved AI-enabled tools to streamline research, analysis, reporting, and other workstreams, while applying sound judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to firm policies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and interest in expanding quantitative and problem-solving skills

  • This position will work on a hybrid model out of our Santa Monica office

The pay range for this position is $70,350-$78,000. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
