About the Job

We have an exciting new opportunity for an RN or LVN Home Healthcare Nurse primary for Bakersfield, CA. This persons responsibility is to provide high-quality care to patients, helping to ensure the best possible medical outcomes. The responsibilities will include monitoring patient vital signs, assisting Physicians and other medical professionals with procedures and administering medications and treatments.
We are willing to train new graduates!

We are in search of a team player that has the following:
Responsibilities:
  • Assessing patients and performing exams and tests.
  • Taking patients’ vitals and recording information gathered.
  • Administering medications or treatments in collaboration with Physicians.
  • Collecting patient health history information.
  • Educating patients on conditions and treatments.
  • Preparing and maintaining medical equipment used with patients.
  • Reporting patients’ conditions to other member of the care team.
  • Supporting patients’ emotional needs through counseling and referrals to various resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • RN or LVN must have passed the California state board test. (Willing to train the right candidate).
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of home health experience preferred.
  • Good command of English oral and written. (Bilingual Spanish required).
  • Maintains a current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Patient service focused and in a professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office or other computer systems helpful.
  • Current CPR/First Aid card.
  • Current TB negative test.
  • Physical: Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position, and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and/or crouching.
  • Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
