City Delivery Specialist - NON CDL

Monday - Friday / Full-time & Great Benefits!

Location: Hyde Park, NY

Delivers and picks up merchandise daily for multiple customers, mostly in densely populated metropolitan areas, ensuring the safe operation of a delivery truck and proper handling of all merchandise.

About the Role:

Wilbert's is seeking a reliable and safety-minded City Delivery Specialist to deliver and pick up merchandise in the busy metropolitan areas such as NYC and NJ. This position requires comfort navigating tight city streets, parallel parking "box truck" style delivery vehicles, and managing traffic with professionalism and patience. You'll represent our company on the road, ensuring every delivery is made accurately, safely, and on time. If you enjoy working independently, staying active throughout the day, and taking pride in customer satisfaction, this is the role for you.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Loads and unloads assigned delivery truck with assistance from HQ staff
  • Conducts a thorough pre-trip inspection using the provided checklist
  • Secures load properly to ensure safe delivery of all items
  • Completes daily route while adhering to all DMV regulations
  • Accurately completes and submits manifest paperwork at the end of each day
  • Follows Wilbert's safety guidelines and use provided PPE at all times
  • Interact with Wilbert's customers, team members, and managers in a respectful and professional manner
  • Keep your delivery vehicle clean and organized, following established standards.
  • Operate a 5k lb. forklift (training provided)
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining an organized fleet vehicle in accordance to pre established standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Operating a delivery vehicle and making deliveries/pickups in a metropolitan environment
  • Adhere to Wilbert's safety standards

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay Frequency: Weekly
  • Salary: From $23/hr
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life AD&D, 401(k), bonus
  • Paid Time Off
  • Scheduling: Full time shifts are 5 days a week Monday through Friday averaging 38-50 hours depending on willingness to accept overtime deliveries. We do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs.
  • Tools and Equipment: We provide the tools necessary to complete the job such as tablets for GPS, clipboard, route manifests, gas card, lift gates on delivery trucks, pallet jacks, hand dolly, proper PPE, etc.
  • Training: We offer a 90 day probationary period with a 2 week paid training period allowing you to become familiar with the role

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry. For insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or older.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license. Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
