Responsibilities

  • Oversees and is responsible for the daily operation of the wholesale department, including, but not limited to, wholesale personnel's conduct, productivity, and professionalism when interacting with wholesale accounts and fellow personnel.
  • Ensure wholesale accounts receive prompt, courteous, and professional service from wholesale personnel.
  • Solicit new business opportunities via direct mailings, phone, and in-person sales calls.
  • Build strong positive relationships with current wholesale accounts
  • Assist the parts manager in the hiring and disciplinary actions regarding wholesale staffing
  • Takes and fills wholesale parts orders in person or via telephone
  • Ensures proper billing for parts sold
  • Follows up with charge customers when payments are due
  • Keeps a level of security for parts inventory
  • Assists in keeping inventory orderly
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
  • Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents
  • Ability to calculate figures/amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug test
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
