Job description

This is a 13 week assignment, Monday to Friday, 1500-2330, 8 hour shift, 40 hours a week. The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures including procedures of an invasive nature. Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technical factors for exposure. They must insure correct marking/labeling of all films. The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care. They also must take call. Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology and be a registered ARRT Possess knowledge in cross sectional anatomy Possession of two years diagnostic experience desirable Moderate to heavy physical effort required. Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipment Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist Ability to move 40 pounds six feet Ability to reach overhead holding 25 pounds Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed Ability to push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feet Requires good stamina with flexibility and good manual dexterity, motor skills to operate delicate equipment Requires computer skills Demonstrates accurate judgment/decision making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills Provides quality customer service and patient care using the standard radiology technology in accordance with established hospital policy/procedures
